Supporters and Patrons of Moving On Theatre
I am honoured to be asked to be patron of Moving On Theatre .
As director of Norwich Fringe Festival I was pleased to be able to offer Moving On Theatre a venue and marketing support for the 2014 Norwich Fringe Festival and was introduced to Lauren and her team.
As a little background, I have lived and worked in Norwich since 1989 when I came to attend Norwich School of Art (now Norwich University of the Arts). Emerging with a degree in graphic design and illustration, I started working for Jarrolds as a print designer.
In 2002/03 I worked for Norwich City Council as a designer in the communications team and became involved in the Norwich bid to be European Capital of Culture 2008. This signalled a transition into a role as a cultural development officer, and since then, I have merged the two careers – design, marketing and communication with creative and cultural development, being freelance since 2011.
I have run Norwich Fringe Festival (a voluntary role) 2003-08 and again 2013/14. It is an annual festival, taking place in October. By issuing a call for submissions we find out what people want to do and then help make it happen through contacts and support, making use of venues around the city.
I wish Lauren and Moving On all success for 2015, anniversary of the year of the birth of Edith Piaf.
