See what People have said about the show:
The scene is set as we take our places – a tiny room, red roses, an accordion on a chair, a framed photograph and a telephone. A red berated keyboard player looks up at us sadly and we are instantly transported to 1930’s Paris. Enter right Edith Piaf... -Fiona, The Henley Herald
This one-person show is enriched by the performance of a number of Piaf's most popular, enduring songs. And Lauren possesses a powerful singing voice, full of feeling, sensitivity and character, which admirably conveys Piaf's legendary musical talent. All the ranges of emotion are covered: from naive, child-like joy to the depths of despair - and the desire for the final oblivion of death. Steve Gough, BAFTA winner

Feedback for Maria: The love, life and music of Callas
A huge bouquet for you and also for the amazing Martin and Francis - and this for the website if you want to use it:A brave, passionate, pitilessly truthful portrayal of the legendary, tragic Diva. Laurene Hope brilliantly captures the multiplicity of conflicting personalities which was the Callas phenomenon - sad, painful, saucy and occasionally hilarious this five-star show is also graced with some great operatic singing. In short, Laurene Hope IS Callas. A big hu
" Laurene has away of bringing the artist she portrays onto the stage so you can see inside their souls and empathise with them like a physic medium ,she channels them and you will be wiping the tears from your eyes" G London"
"There are not many performers who would dare to represent Maria Callas on stage not just by acting the life but also by singing the songs - but then one day along came Laurene Hope. And what a memorable evening she produced! MARIA is an intense, powerfully sustained and finally very moving show, as the dark, often tragic course of Callas's experience is shot through with moments of musical beauty and grace. Hope does not imitate Callas (who would want to try?) but - as in her previous production on the life of Edith Piaf - produces her own vocal expressiveness which captures both the truth of Callas's remarkable life - and more importantly its spirit."
